Daily Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, June 1, 1927

                          East Bushnell
Lewis Carey, son of one of Bloomers' earliest pioneer families and brother to 
Mrs. Marie Pease, now deceased, of Woodard lake, passed away at his home 
Friday P.M. The funeral services were held at Vickeryville Sunday and burial 
was at that place. Mr. Carey was past 70 years of age and had been ill of 
cancer for about a year.
