Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Mar 1934

Elsie Grace Carrigan 16-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Carrigan, of
Easton township, died Thursday morning, March 15 at the Ionia hospital.  She was
born near Lake Odessa, the family moving to the Milo Richmond farm near Smyrna
where they lived for several years, and again moving last fall to the Jay
Densmore farm in Easton, where they now live.  Elsie graduated from the 8th
grade last summer, but was unable to attend the graduation exercises because of
illness.  She expected to attend the Belding high school this year but due to
diabetes, was unable to.  Surviving are her parents, and two brothers and two
sisters, Irene and Frances.  Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at
1 o’clock at the residence.  Rev. H.S. Ellis, of the Congregational church, in
Belding, will conduct the service.  Burial will be at the Alton cemetery in
Vergennes.
