Marsha D. Carrizales 59, of Fenwick, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, 
Feb. 22, 2011 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.

Marsha was born in Ionia on July 22, 1951, the daughter of Ralph and Anita 
Mosier Furman. She graduated from Ionia High School with the class of 1969. In 
earlier years, Marsha was a medical assistant for Drs. Buck and Opicka, she 
later owned Joe’s Market in Palo for over 27 years where she was a special 
friend to all the people of Palo. She enjoyed bike riding and was always 
willing to help anyone in need. 

Marsha will be greatly missed by her family and countless friends, she is loved 
and survived by her children; Christine Carrizales Spear and Kraig Spear of 
Grandville, Adam Carrizales and Gala Zander of Palo; her brothers and sisters: 
David and Jen Furman of Ionia, Diane and Bill Bennett of Escanaba, Dona and 
Dave Gillson of Orleans, Doug and Tina Furman of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Fern 
and Doug Feehan of Belding.

She was preceded by her parents.

Even by her death Marsha continued to help people by donation to Gift of Life. 
A time of remembrance will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Palo 
Community School.

Instead of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Palo Community 
School or the Ronald Township Fire Department. Envelopes will be available 
Saturday at the school or at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where 
cremations services have been entrusted.
