Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Shaw-Rivett funeral 
home in Muir for Harry R. Carroll, 53, who died Sunday, 20 at Springfield, 
Ill. of a heart attack. The Rev. Myron E. Hoyt, pastor of the Lyons 
Methodist church officiated.. The bearers were Thomas Grace of Carson City, 
Howard Dick and George Ross of Muir, Edward Kilduff, William Kilduff and 
Robert Kilduff of Ionia. 

Mr. Carroll was born near Butternut, in Montcalm county, the son of the late 
Seymour and Jennie Carroll. He attended school in Carson City. He moved with 
his parents to their farm home north and east of Muir where he lived for a 
time. He had been in Springfield about a year and was in the building 
insulation business.

He is survived by one son, Harry Carroll, jr., of Ionia; two brothers, Don 
Carroll of Ionia, William Carroll of Ann Arbor; three sisters, Mrs. Howard 
Dick of Muir, Mrs. Edward Kilduff of Ionia and Mrs. Louis Siegel of St. 
Johns. Interment was in the Bloomer Center cemetery in Montcalm county.
