Carroll Passes Away John H. Carroll, DC, 53, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a long illness. He had been hospitalized for two weeks. A native of Peru, Indiana, he had been a local resident since 1949, when he opened his office and began his practice. He attended the DeLaSalle Institute of Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the Lincoln Chiropractor College in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1948. Dr. Carroll had studied for two years before entering the Army and completed his education after his discharge. A veteran of World War II he was wounded while serving overseas in Metz, France, November 17, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Edwards church, National and State Chiropractor Associations and the LaVerne Demaray Post American Legion. He married Mrs.Bonnie Donaldson November 17, 1960 and they had resided on Martin rd., rural Woodland. Surviving are his wife, a step-son Barry Donaldson of Woodland; one grandson and two sisters Miss Veda Carroll of Peru, Indiana and Miss Joan Carroll of Chicago, Illinois. Dr.Carroll reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel where Rosary will be recited at 3:30 Friday afternoon, Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Edwards Church with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Fr. Raymond Meggenberg will officiate.
