Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Dec 1965

Charles E. Carten, 55, son of the late Richard and Mary Carten of Ionia, died
suddenly in Detroit, December 22 following surgery for a ruptured blood vessel
of the heart.  Mr. Carten left Ionia about 20 years ago and was employed by the
Ambassador Bridge.

He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Felix and a son, Michael of
Detroit, and two brothers, Harry of Detroit and Frank of Grand Rapids.

Interment was at Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Detroit.
