The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 17, 1954

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Myers funeral home for Elwood H. 
Carter, 75, who died Saturday in Ionia County Memorial Hospital.  The Rev. 
Court O. Adams officiated, and burial was at Muir cemetery.  Bearers were 
Robert Gee, Leo Russell, Duke Robinson, William Johnson, William Normington 
and Gerald Sherman.

Attending from out of town: Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson and Mrs. Judd Brown 
of Muskegon; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Galharr of Grand Ledge; Mr. and Mrs. Jake 
Seaman of Big Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sprague and family of Lyons; Mr. 
and Mrs. Bert Youngs of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Piercefield and George 
Corsen and daughter of Portland; William Johnson of Ada; Mr. and Mrs. Nelson 
Smith of Saranac; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Salter of Lansing; William Pillmore of 
Fowler; Arlo Ritenburg of Pewamo; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bylsma, Mr. and Mrs. 
Donald Adelson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Canter and Miss Emily Anderson of Grand 
Rapids.

Mrs. Nettie Greenhoe, George MacGillivray, Mr. and Mrs. Lymon Crane, Mrs. Elva 
Kemp, Mrs. Pina Hickathorn, James Kelly, Mrs. Frank Esch, Mr. and Mrs. William 
Normington, Duke Robinson, Gerald Sherman, Leo Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert 
Lee, Olive Palmer, Mary Kirby and Mrs. Helen Gunther and son of Muir.
