Carter, May 14, 1842. To this union were born eleven children, Loring J., Harrison R., Maryett, Martha J., Silas F., Franklin L., William M., Herbert O., who have gone before to greet her home. Mason J., of Stockbridge, George E., of Ionia, Cyrus A., of Crystal, who survive her. In the year of 1849 she moved with her husband to Ingham county, Michigan, where they resided until the death of her husband, June 18, 1864, leaving her with a large family to care for. In 1883 she moved from her old home to Olive, Clinton county, where she lived until last August when she moved to her home 716 Harrison street, Ionia, where she died Sunday morning, April 2, at six o’clock, 1911 at the age of 86 years, four months and five days. Besides her children she leaves one sister, one brother, several grand children and many friends to mourn her loss. The remains were accompanied by relatives to Stockbridge, where the funeral was held at M.E. church. Interment Oak Lawn cemetery.
