Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Feb 1971

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily J. Carter, 90, will be Saturday at 2 pm at Muir
First Christian Church.  Rev. Roger Wright will officiate and interment will be
at Muir cemetery.  Until noon Saturday, Mrs. Carter will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull
funeral home in Muir.

Mrs. Carter was born March 19, 1880, in Ionia township.  Her husband, William
Carter, died in 1954.  She had been a resident of Muir 50 years.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clara Rose of Ionia and nieces and nephews.
