Ionia Daily Standard, 10 Apr 1891

Palo – Mr. Carter, an aged man living in west part of town, died Sunday and was
buried Wednesday.  He was both deaf and blind.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Sunny Hill Cemetery in Bushnell Township, Montcalm County.]
