Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 31 Oct 1961

Funeral service for J. Leon Carter, 90 of route two, Middleville, was held 
Monday afternoon in Lake Odessa.  He died Friday evening at a Kalamazoo 
hospital.

Bearers were Leroy Wheeler, David DeMoor, Jerry Schipper, Vaughn Carter, Lloyd 
Myers and Arnold Walkington.  The Rev. Lee Crist of Grace Brethren church 
officiated and burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
