Lake Odessa Wave, 25 Jan 1951

Mrs. Della May Carter, 78, passed away at the home of her son-in-law and 
daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Bever, recently, after a long illness.  She had 
resided in her home here in town until this fall.  She came from Ohio with her 
parents when two years old and has been a resident of this area since then.  
Her husband Robert passed away about twenty years ago.

Surviving besides Mrs. Bever are another daughter Mrs. Calvin Smith of Lake 
Odessa; two sons, Willard of Lake Odessa and Clarence of Vermontville; four 
brothers, Oliver, Charles, Earl and William Shellman and a sister Mrs. Roy 
Wilson all of Lake Odessa; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Pickens chapel with burial in 
Lakeside cemetery, Rev. O.L. Heltzel officiated.
