Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 Nov 1970

Mrs. Bertha C. Carter, 87, of rural Stanton died Tuesday at Carson City
hospital.  She was born December 1, 1882, and North Plains township, daughter of
Julius and Mary Helen Teed Treusdell.  She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist
church of Ionia and was employed at Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company of Ionia
many years.  December 25, 1902, she was married to Herbert Carter of Ionia and
he died in 1946.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thelma French of rural Stanton, Mrs. Helen
Brainard of Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Ida Wiggins of rural Crystal; six
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Huyck-Schnepp funeral home at
Crystal.  Interment will be at North Plains cemetery.
