The manner in which Dale, the year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Carter whose death was mentioned in last week's issue of this paper, was a sad affair indeed. The young father had been ailing for a few days and not getting any better went to the doctor to get some medicine for himself. Upon returning he took a dose of the capsules and left the box on the center table The little son trudging into the room found the box and ate ten of the original twelve capsules. He soon became very sick and then the mother began searching for the cause, nothing being mistrusted before. Upon the finding of the empty box, the doctor was summoned and then another one was called and all done to save the little one that possibly could be done, but all to no purpose and the Angel of Death came and carried him away. The fried seemed more than the young parents could bear, especially as the death seemed so uncalled for, but God knew best and "Sometime We"ll Understand." The funeral was held at the home of B. Carter in Berlin and interment in Lakeside cemetery. He will wake in fairer lands, Where the angel voices sing; There the flow'ret shall expand, There shall love perfection bring; He has reached the golden shore Through the river cold and deep, Angels bore him safely there; Little baby's gone to sleep.
