Ionia Sentinel Standard
   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, 4-29-1970:  "Ernest T. Carter, 81, of 8447 Main
Street, Palo, died Tuesday at Carson City hospital where he had been a patient
since Sunday.
   He was born May 15, 1888 in Lowell and lived in the Palo area 43 years.  He
was a life member of Palo Masonic lodge and retired farmer and carpenter.
   He married Vera Coleman in 1908 and she survives.
   Funeral services will be at the Stebbins Funeral Home in Sheridan.  The Rev.
from Palo Baptist Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Evergreen
Cemetery near Sheridan."
