Belding - Alan R. Carter, 45, of Belding, passed away Tuesday, Jan 1, 2002, at
his home.  He was born Aug. 24, 1956, in Detroit, the son of Ralph and Alice
Cummings Carter.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Taneka Carter of
Belding; his granddaughter, Pamela; fiancee, Barbara Zwald of Grand Rapids; his
mother, Alice Carter of Westland; and one sister, Sue Roscoe of St. Louis, Ky. 
He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. today at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding,
with Pastor Byron Davey officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to
Hillcrest Free Methodist Church.
