Mrs. Wm. Cartlidge Buried Last Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Wm. (Rose) Cartridge, 81, of Hastings were held Friday 
afternoon at the Leonard funeral home at Hastings with burial in the Riverside 
cemetery.

Mrs. Cartlidge passed away on Tuesday at Sunset Acres Nursing Home where she had 
been a patient for about two weeks. She fell and fractured her hip, January 2nd.

She was the daughter of Calvin and Julian Ann Demaray of Lake Odessa and married 
Herbert Calkins in 1899 and they resided in Hastings where he died in 1944.

In 1952 she married Mr. Cartlidge who survives, also a daughter and 
grandchildren, Mrs. John Demaray, Mrs. Leslie Rush Cartlidge was a sister of the 
late and Mrs. Hugh Myers. 

Nephews, Kenneth Rush of Pontiac, Stuart Kussmaul of Woodland, Roger Rush, Loren 
and Ellsworth Myers of Hastings and Dalls Rush were pall bearers.
