Funeral services for Effie J. Cartridge were held Monday at Huffman Funeral Home
with Rev. Marjorie Hawkins officiating.  Interment was in Rest Haven Memory
Gardens, Otisco township, Ionia county.  Bearers were Perry Spaulding, Dale
Cartridge Jr., Guy Cory, Merley McClow, Lyle I. Peterson, and William Moyer.

Effie J. Courter was born March 14, 1883 in Gratiot county, the daughter of Anna
Electa White Courter and Thomas Jefferson Courter.  She died October 20 after a
lingering illness.  She had been a resident of Weedmark Convalescent Home over
four years.

Mrs. Cartridge was married to Lewis L. Cartridge in 1903.  Her husband preceded
her in death in 1964.  She had resided in the Belding area since 1901 and was a
weaver in the silk mills.  She was a member of the Victoria Rebekah Lodge No. 60.

She is survived by one son, Dale B. Cartridge Sr. of Cooks Corners; two
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
