Sudden Death Takes John W. Cartridge at Home

Death came unexpectedly on Monday evening at 7:30 to 75-year-old John W.
Cartridge at his home at 812 Riverside avenue this city.  Mr. Cartridge was born
October 1, 1878, in Orleans township, the son of John and Diana Cartridge.  On
June 16, 1897, he was united in marriage to Maye Darrow, who survives.  His
entire life was spent in or near Belding, both as a factory worker and farmer.

Besides his widow he is survived by one brother, Louis Cartridge of R.R. 3, and
two sisters, Mrs. Jim Wright of R.R.2, and Mrs. Allen Hill of Fenton.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o’clock from the
Huffman chapel with Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating.  Burial will be in River Ridge
cemetery.
