The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, May 11, 1906

Orphelia King Cary was born January 20, 1830, in New Salem, Mass.  She lived 
there until eight years of age, when with her parents she moved to Nunda, 
N.Y., and was married to Joseph Cary in 1850.  In 1852 they came to Ionia, and 
resided here until the time of her death.

She was a Christian and a good woman, made many friends and was loved by all 
who knew her.  She united with the Disciple church in 1858 and always remained 
a member.  She died May 8, 1906, leaving her husband, one brother and sister 
to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Joseph Carey is quite low with pneumonia, she is also suffering with a 
cancer, which is very much worse at present.  Mrs. Henry Harrington is caring 
for Mrs. Ophelia Carey at present.
