The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, September 7, 1929
The funeral services for Mrs. Zada Case, 81, of Belding, were held from the 
home of her son, Marion, last Saturday.  Interment took place in the 
Riverridge cemetery.

Mrs. Case was born in London, Canada and united in marriage to Schuyler Case 
in New York before the Civil war and the couple came to Belding in 1782 when 
there was but a few scattering houses in the village.  They spent a few years 
in Luther, but later returned to Belding, where Mr. Case died 16 years ago.  
She leaves two sons, William and Marion, both of Belding.

Transcriber’s note:  The date of 1782 as arrival in Belding is obviously in 
error, but is printed exactly as written in the obituary.
