Case were grieved to learn of his sudden death at his home just south of the village of Sheridan on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Case was 46 years of age at the time of his death. He was born at Remus, and spent his boyhood years there. In 1918 after being discharged from the service, he was married to Miss Vida Whitmore of Eagle. For some time he made his home at DeWitt, where he was engaged as a barber for a number of years. He then came to Belding and at one time owned the present Bird farm east of the city on M-44. He worked as a barber for some time in this city. In 1929 he removed from this city to Sheridan where he owned a fine farm and since then he has been engaged both in the business of farming as well as in the automobile business. Mr. Case was a member of Greenville American Legion post, Sheridan Masonic lodge, Sheridan Eastern Star order and the Sheridan Lions club. Surviving are the widow, Vida; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Pilkinton, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Verda Springsteen, of Lansing, and Mrs. Elsie Vashow of Remus, and a brother, Theodore Case of Remus. Funeral services were held at the family home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. H.S. Ellis of this city officiated at the funeral which was attended by many Belding friends of the family and burial was in the Sheridan cemetery.
