Mary Cashen, age 67, of Petoskey, formerly of Hubbardston, passed away Saturday,
August 23, 2008 at her home.  Mary was born May 8, 1941 in Portland to Theodore
and Mary Anna (Pung) Kolp.

She married Pat Cashen in Westphalia on November 17, 1962.  She was a former
member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston and enjoyed her
visits with the “Golden Girls.”  She enjoyed playing cards and going to the
casino.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Pam (Blain) Gibson of Petoskey, Mary Lou
(Kurt) Ruff of Lansing, Trish (Brett) Stophel of Palm Harbor, FL, and 11
grandchildren.  Also, sisters Alice (Joe) Fedewa, Theresa (Dennis) Spitzley,
Evie (Gerry) Schmitt, Bernadette (Gary) Fletcher and Lou Ann (Doug) Pline,
brothers Tony (Millie) Kolp, Joe (Pat) Kolp, Jim (Rita) Kolp, Ted Kolp, Stanley
(Sandy) Kolp, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, parents and a brother, John Kolp.  

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church in Hubbardston.  Interment will be in St. John the
Baptist Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Lux
and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.  Memorials may
be made to Hospice of Little Traverse Bay.
