                  Wm E. CASSEL PASSED AWAY SUNDAY MORNING

Wm. E. Cassel died at his home in Campbell last Sunday morning after an illness 
of nearly a year from dropsy and Brights disease.  Mr.Cassel was born in Ashland 
Co., O., Nov. 19th 1886 and was married in this county to Miss Carrie Darby on 
Aug. 24, 1880, moving back to Ashland, Co., O., in October of the same years.

In 1895 they moved to Michigan again and settled on the place where they have 
since resided. To them were born four children, three daughters and one son, 
who, together with the widow survive him.

Mr. Cassel has been a great sufferer during his last long illness but he bore it 
all with Christian fortitude, and seemed to have time to discuss his misfortune.  
He was a man who was loved by his  neighbors and their loving hands helped to 
make his last illness as pleasant as possible under the circumstances.

The last sad rites were performed at the Tamarack U.B. Church, of which has a 
member, by Rev. I.H. Mourer on Tuesday morning and the remains were laid at rest 
in Lake Side Cemetery. The community at large extends its sympathies to the 
sorrowing wife and children.
