Ionia Sentinel, 27 May 1897

Mrs. Sarah Cassell, nee Gabel, wife of A.B. Cassell of Lakeview, who died May
19, 1897, was 61 years of age.  Her first husband died years ago and she married
Mr. Cassell 15 months, to a day, before her death.  She was the mother of nine
children, seven of whom are now living.  She was a member of the Evangelical
association church of Ionia, and was a good, kind, christian lady.  In writing
to her children her advice was always to live a godly life.

Mrs. Cassell lived near Ionia until after she married the second time, when she
went to Lakeview.  She will be greatly missed by the family of her husband as
well as her own.  She was laid to rest in Highland Park cemetery, Revs. Shelly
and Koehler conducting the services from Evangelical church.
