Susan P. Cassidy, of Portland, age 55, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007.  
She was born on Feb. 27, 1952 in Grayling, Mich.  Susan was a very loyal and 
long time worker at Kmart. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with 
family, especially time spent outside at a cookout. 

Susan is preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Ward; son, Jeremy Shinaver; 
and brother, Doug Ward.  She is survived by her children, John (Karen) 
Shinaver, Michael (Stacey Caldwell) Shinaver and Jessica (Sean) Moore; 
grandchildren, Adam, Austin, Morgan, Maria and Wyatt; three brothers, Jeff 
Ward, Scott Ward and Keith Ward; sister, Deb Carpenter; and several neices and 
nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, with Pastor Paul 
Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Contributions may be made to 
the American Cancer Society in Susan's name.
