The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 4, 1950

Calvin Castle, 80, died Thursday afternoon at his home near Lyons.  He had 
been bedridden for the past month.  He was born in New York state and moved to 
near Lyons when a child.  He spent most of his life in the vicinity of Lyons.

Surviving are the wife, Amy, seven daughters, Mrs. Ira Webster, Mrs. Stanton 
Priest, and Mrs. Albert Higbee of Muskegon, Mrs. Howard Hoxie of Reed City, 
Mrs. LaVern Winwright of Lyons, Mrs. Sam Brand of Lansing and Mrs. Lynn Grove 
of Dimondale; 30 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, 
Marion Castle of Lyons and Henry of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bradley funeral home.  
Dr. Paul Stewart will officiate.  Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
