ALMA B. CASTLE
PORTLAND- Alma B. Castle, 79, of 8891 Kent, Portland, died April 22 at her home.

She was born January 4, 1906, in Havana, Ill., the daughter of Peter and Maude
Friedrich.

She is survived by her husband, Harrison; one son, Charles P. Castle of San Diego,
Calif.; two daughters, Margaret Ruth Sayer of Grand Rapids and Maria of Rock Hill. S.C.;
seven grandchildren; three brothers, Clyde Friedrich and Charles H. Friedrich of Morton,
Ill.; and Henry Friedrich of Illinois; two sisters, Ruth Blessman of Bath, Ill., and Winifred
Hurley of Havana, Ill.

She was a member of the Portland United Methodist Church and active in many of the 
church's organizations. She was also a member of O.E.S. 258 and the Rebekahs.

Order of the Eastern Star services will be Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home with Pastor
Dow Chamberlain officiating.

Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.
