                              EDITH P.CASTLE

IONIA-Edith P.Castle, 70, of 209 Hosford drive died Thursday evening at the 
Ionia Manor.

She was born February 17, 1908 in Germany, the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Charles 
Merkle.

She married Henry Castle January 31, 1927 in ionia and lived all of her life in 
the Ionia area.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

Two sons, Max and Clifford, and one brother, Carl Merkle, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, LaMar and Henry Jr., of Ionia; one 
daughter, Mrs.Pauline Knepper of Ionia; one half-brother Lawrence Rhoades of 
Ionia; one sister, Mrs.Emma Clark of Muskegon, one half-sister Mrs.Gladys Helmer 
of Ionia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 1:30 pm from the Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with burial 
in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 
9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial fund is established for Moose heart.

IONIA-Funeral services for edit P. Castle were Monday afternoon from the Myers-
Roetman Funeral Home with Steve Pearson officiating.

Burial was in Balcom Cemetery.

Following services, luncheon was served by the Women of the Moose in the Moose 
Lodge.
