Janice Marie “Jan” Castro, 58, of Greenville, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at her
home.  She was born in Flint on Aug. 13, 1948, the daughter of Howard J. and
Eunice H. Weiss Taylor.

She was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School and attended Flint Junior
College.  She was married at Grace Lutheran Church in Flint on June 6, 1970, to
Michael F. Castro.  Jan was employed with EightCAP Inc. in Greenville for many
years as a family support supervisor and worked at Haan’s Pastry in downtown
Greenville when she first moved to Greenville.  She was a member of the former
Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville and now was a member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church in Greenville.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Her parents and brother, Donald Taylor, preceded her in death.  She is survived
by her husband, Michael; their daughter and son-in-law, Cori and Doug Anderson
of Belding; son, Joseph Castro of Belding; grandchildren, Zoe and Mason
Anderson; her sisters, Judy and Tom Woody of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Nancy and Ron
White of Waupaca, Wis., her sister-in-law, Virginia Braun of Flint; and many
nieces and nephews.

Funeral and committal services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Hurst Funeral Home,
Greenville, with the Rev. Clayton H. Bates of St. Paul Lutheran Church
officiating.  Burial is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  Visitation is
from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial
contributions will be established to honor Jan.
