Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday March 25, 1965

Services Held For William W. Caswell

William W. Caswell, 99, one of Lake Odessa's oldest residents, passed away early 
Saturday morning March 20, at the Bide-A-Wee Rest home at Belding where he had 
been a patient since February 24.

A native if Sebewa township he was a lifelong resident of that area and Lake 
Odessa. A retired farmer and horse trainer, he was very active for his age and 
was active in horse training until about two years ago, but was able to be down 
town most every day until the last three months.

His wife the former Elizabeth Leak, passed away October 19, 1946, also sons Orr 
and Chalmer preceded him in death. Mr Caswell attended the Methodist church and 
was a member of the IOOF lodge.

Surviving are five grandchildren, which includes Denard Caswell of Ionia and  
several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 PM at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial at Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Luther Brokaw officiated.
