The funeral of Orr Caswell, who passed away at the home of his parents here 
Tuesday night, August 6, was held at their home on the E. C. Tew farm about 
five miles south of Ionia Thursday afternoon following his demise.  He was a 
member of the local I.O.O.F. and Knights of Pythias lodges and while here in 
the village was a very regular attendant.  The services were conducted by Rev. 
O. F. Bulman, pastor of Central Methodist church of this place whose words of 
comfort and sympathy are always so fittingly and so kindly administered.  

Orr was a great lover of dogs and horses, and the great out of doors.  His 
sickness a good many years ago left him a cripple to the extent he had to go 
about with crutches, but his ability to use them enabled him to get about with 
almost the agility of those who were in possession of both lower limbs.  For 
many years he was a salesman in the E. C. Tew & Sons store here where he 
gained a host of friends.  His manner was always kindly and his friends mourn 
the loss of one whom they always held in high esteem.

assisted us during our sad bereavement in the loss of our dear husband, 
father, and son; Rev. Bulman for his comforting words; to the bearers, and to 
the M. E. church, the lodges, the neighbors and friends for the beautiful
