Everett Caswell, 68, of 273 Higbee street, Lyons, died Wednesday of a heart
attack while enroute by ambulance to the Veterans hospital in Saginaw.

He was born June 6, 1894 at Riga, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Caswell.  He
was a carpenter by trade and was a sergeant in World War I.  He was married to
Katherine Selbach in Charlotte in 1948.

Surviving besides his wife are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Estel Gladding of Lyons, one
stepson, Laurence Selbach of San Bruno, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Knierim
and Mrs. Betty Snyder of Litchfield.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in
Muir.  The Rev. Fr. Thomas Schiller, of SS Peter and Paul church, will officiate
and burial will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Ionia.
