Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Nov 1972

Katherine Caswell, 80, of 326 Tabor, Lyons, died suddenly Sunday morning at
Ionia County Memorial hospital after an illness of one day.  She had suffered a
stroke.  Born January 25, 1892, in New Jersey she was the daughter of Jacob and
Katherine Koen.

She moved to Pewamo as a child and attended Pewamo public schools.  She was
married to Herman Selbach in Ionia and he died April of 1927.  She was then
married to Everett Caswell in 1948 and he died in December of 1962.

She was a member of SS Peter and Paul church, its Altar Rosary society, and was
a Gold Star Mother.  She was preceded in death by a son who died in World War II.

Surviving are a son, Laurence Selbach of San Francisco, Calif., daughter, Mrs.
Josephine Gladding of Lyons, eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul church in
Ionia.  Rosary will be recited [missing word] at 8 p.m. at Hull Memorial chapel
in Muir.  Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
