Ionia Standard - Friday, May 19 & 26, 1876

May 19, 1876 -
George Catlin was drowned at the mouth of Fish creek on Tuesday. He was 
engaged in running logs. The body has not been recovered up to Wednesday 
afternoon. 



May 26, 1876 - 
The body of George Catlin, the log runner who was drowned near Matherton 
Tuesday, was recovered on Friday.
