He was in the mill but a few minutes when his clothing became caught in a belt and he was taken up and drawn three times around a shaft with great violence before the machinery could b stopped. His left arm was torn from its socket, one let was frightfully lacerated, and he received severe internal injuries. He was taken at once a short distance to the home of the doctor, where he still is. the parents were at once summoned and are now with him to administer much comfort as can be given. The attending physician holds out no hope. Additional Comments: From The Daily Standard Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1898 "Charles Catt, the young man so terribly injured at the Palo feed mill on Monday, died last night."
