The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 1, 1954
Funeral services for Melissa A. Catt of Route 1, Lyons, who passed away at the 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital January 27, were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. 
from the Shaw-Rivett funeral home at Muir, with the Rev. George F. Bolitho of 
the Lyons Methodist church officiating.  Mrs. Suzanne White was in charge of 
the music.  Burial was at Palo cemetery.  Pallbearers were Joe Harp, Nate 
Antcliff, George Rose, Lloyd Vincent, Cecil Brockway and Robert Livingston.

Friends and relatives who attended the services from away were Mr. and Mrs. 
Jay Converse and Leroy and Donna, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Livingston, Mr. and Mrs. 
Jay Converse Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Livingston, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Brockway 
of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. John Mitchell from Stanton; Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt 
Denslow, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Huffman of Big Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Smith of 
Eaton Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Teufel of Greenville; Mrs. Paul Jupp of 
Leslie; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kuipers of Ada; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stout of 
Grand Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Murl Childs of Saranac.
