Portland Observer, 9 Oct 1930

Gilbert Cavelery, 88, for many years a well known farmer and carpenter in 
Portland and vicinity, died Tuesday night at the county infirmary where he had 
been making his home for the past five months.  The body was brought to the 
Bandfield funeral home were services were held this afternoon.  Burial was made 
in the Mulliken cemetery.  Mr. Cavelery is survived by one daughter and one son, 
Mrs. Glen Graft, of Danby, and Delbert Cavelery, who now resides in the west.
