Cecil, of Bay City and formerly of East Tawas and Ionia, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 in Bay City age 89. He was born June 20, 1918 in Detroit and owned and operated the former Twin Service Laundry in East Tawas for many years. After retiring, he moved to Ionia for a number of years and was a winter resident of Raymondville, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was a member of the VFW. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and was Master of the Masonic Lodge #274 in Tawas in 1963 and 1964. Mr. Cecil was former Iosco County Constable for 25 years and was one of the founders of the Iosco Flying Club. Surviving are two daughters Carol (Michael) Florida of Bay City and Shirley London of Turner, four grandchildren Uriah London, Jesse London, Regina Wilkerson and Rex (Margie) Florida and three great-grandchildren Sarah McLean, Adriah Elle-Leah London and Lawrence King-Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife Leagatha Lee in 1987, by a daughter Linda in 1947 and by one brother and one sister and a close friend Reva McGee. The family would like to send a special thank you to his care giver Jill Majenerski of Bay City. A memorial service will be conducted by the Flint Masonic Lodge #23 F.& A.M. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 4 p.m. at the Bay City Masonic Center 200 E. John St., Bay City, MI.
