Funeral services for Gregg F. Cederwall, 19, of 222 Lafayette street, will be 
at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harold 
Johnson officiating.  Interment will be at Balcom Cemetery.

Gregg was born December 14, 1954, in Lansing, the son of Frank and Shirley 
LaPratt Cederwall.  He moved with his parents in 1958 to Ionia where he 
attended Jefferson elementary school and Ionia High School..

He was active the last few years in musical groups in the Ionia area and was an 
accomplished guitarist.

Gregg left Ionia in November last year to take a job in Houston, Texas.  He 
died in an accidental fire there February 3.

Surviving are his parents; one brother, Eric, at home; one sister, Mrs. James 
(Sheryl) Dickinson of Ionia; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. 
LaPratt of Lansing, and maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Amsbaugh of 
Lansing.  

The body rests at Leddick Funeral home until Saturday morning.  The family will 
be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. 

A memorial fund has been established and contributions may be made at the 
funeral home.

Funeral services for Gregg F. Cederwall, who died in an accidental fire in 
Houston, Texas, were Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian church in 
Ionia.  Rev. Harold Johnson officiated and organist was Mrs. Mabel Stauffer.  
An original poem was read during the service by Debbie Bell.  At the graveside 
service at Balcom cemetery, a special prayer was offered by William Gustafson.

Following graveside services a luncheon was served to the family at the First 
Presbyterian church by the women of the church.

Bearers were Scott Jenkins, Thomas Frost, Michael Benedict, Gary Peterson, 
Stephen Mooney and Donald Wickerham.
