She was born in Slovensko, Czechoslovakia, December 26, 1903, the daughter of Andrew and Angela Repik. She came to the U.S. at the age of 16, settling in Ionia. She married Charles Cerney January 6, 1924, at SS. Peter and Paul Church. The lived in Ionia all of her married life; he preceded her in death November 9, 1961. She was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Church, and of the Church’s Altar Rosary Society. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Mary) Pinnow, and Mrs. William (Angela) Fox, both of Ionia; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church with the Rev. Henry Dondzila, of Blessed Sacrament Church, Grand Rapids, officiating. Assisting will be the Revs. Louis LeSarge and Thomas Bolster of Ionia. Burial will be at the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Scripture Rosary will be Monday at 7 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established for the S.S. Peter and Paul Church, in care of the Leddick Funeral Home.
