Chadwick passed away at her home at Chadwick, on Tuesday morning, after an illness of several months. Amy Berry, the eldest daughter of Mrs. And Mrs. T. C. Berry, was born on the farm where she died, March 12, 1858. Her parents moved to the township of Pine, Montcalm county, but Amy continued to make her home with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dorr, until June, 1881 when she married James E. Chadwick, who departed this life about two and one- half years ago. She as the mother of five children one dying in infancy. Mrs. Emma Wheeler dying about eleven years ago, and Charles S. Chadwick, who died at Baltimore, Maryland, of the flu, while in service during the World war. Elliott B. Chadwick, of Ionia; Mrs. Glen Sprague, of Orleans township, and five grandchildren and a host of friends mourn their loss. Amy was a woman of strong sterling qualities. To know her was to love her. The community has suffered an irreparable loss and the memory of her kind deeds and charitable acts will long remain as a monument of her life. Funeral services will be from the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock and burial will be in Green’s cemetery.
