Death was caused by a heart condition from which he had suffered for about two years. Mr. Chamberlain was born in Ionia, September 17, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Chamberlain, and was 55 years old at the time of his death. He graduated from Ionia High school and attended Central Michigan College of Education at Mt. Pleasant. He was a veteran of World War I and received his discharge from the U. S. Service in December, 1918. Four years later, in partnership with his father, C. C. Chamberlain, he opened the Chamberlain Machine Shop which they operated together until the senior Chamberlain’s death in 1943. He was married in 1931 to Miss Wilma Bailey, who survives him. He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Smith, and a grandson, of San Raphael, Calif., and his mother Mrs. C. C. Chamberlain, of Ionia. Rev. Heath Goodwin, of the First Methodist church, officiated at the funeral service held from Boynton Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Balcom cemetery.
