Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 May 1992

Wayne J. Chamberlain, 67, of Brighton, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph 
Hospital, Ann Arbor.  He was born December 16, 1924, in Ionia the son of A.J. 
and Marie Wilson Chamberlain.  He married Dorothy Howard on December 24, 1943, 
in Ionia.  She survives.  He was a graduated from Ionia High School in 1942.

He was a heavy truck operator for Eastern Panhandle Corporation, from which he 
retired.  He was a member of the Howell Elks Lodge No. 2168 and American Legion 
Sal. Boys No. 141.  

He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Atkins of Conroe, Texas, and 
Margaret Rose of Howell; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and his 
sister Eleanor Cox of Clearwater, Fla.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, 
Howell.  Cremation has taken place.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, 
Howell.
