Sentinel-Standard - Monday, March 7, 1921

Mrs. Sarah Jane Chamberlain, age 58, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
John Cockran in Orange township, Saturday night at 11:30. She leaves besides 
her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Edith Cockran, Mrs Leah Cockran and Miss 
Pearl Chamberlain, who is at home, and one brother, Ira Sherwood of Blanchard 
and one sister, Mrs. Chan Chamberlain of Ionia. The body was removed this 
afternoon from the home of her daughter in Orange township to the family home 
in Berlin township and the funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday 
afternoon at 2 o'clock, fast time. Rev. Fisher of the Berlin church will 
officiate and burial will be in the family lot at Balcom cemetery.
