May 21, 1975 MARIE CHAMBERLAIN Mrs. Marie Chamberlain, 80, of 538 East David highway, died Tuesday evening at the Ionia Manor where she had been a patient two weeks. Born in Orange township February 28, 1895, she was the daughter of Culmer and Minnie Adgate Wilson. She was a lifelong resident of Orange township attending the LeValley school and was an Ionia high school graduate. October 24, 1917, she was married to A. Jay Chamberlain and they made their home on a farm on Kelsey highway, 51 years before moving to their present home on David highway in 1962. They had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1967. They spent their winters in Florida the past years and were in Florida when Mrs. Chamberlain was taken ill and was hospitalized. She was a member of the LeValley United Methodist church, the WSCS of the church, the LeValley Farm Bureau group, and the LeValley Extension club. Surviving besides the husband, A.Jay, are a son, Wayne of Howell and daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Cox of Ionia; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Hazel Hair of rural Ionia. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 pm at the LeValley United Methodist church. Rev. Lloyd Walker will officiate and interment will be at the Tuttle cemetery. A memorial has been established for the LeValley United methodist church. Family members will be at the Leddick funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Ionia Sentinel Standard-Tues. May 27, 1975 MRS. MARIE CHAMBERLAIN Funeral services for Mrs.. Marie Chamberlain, who died Tuesday, were Friday afternoon at the LeValley United Methodist church. Rev. Lloyd Walker officiated and organist was Mrs. Frank Stout. Interment was at the Tuttle cemetery. Bearers were grandsons, Gerald W. Cox, Charles Cox Paul and Steve Noffke, Glenn Gillett and Thomas Rose. Following services a luncheon was served to the family and friends at the LeValley church by church women.
