Ionia - Chauncey C. Chamberlain, 74, founder of the C. C. Chamberlain & Son Machine Shop here, died late Thursday (Oct. 28, 1943) in his South Ionia home. Mr. Chamberlain was born in Berlin township and had resided in Ionia county practically all his life. He was active in the business he founded until two years ago when failing health forced him to retire. The shop is now engaged in war work. He was married in 1892 to Miss Olive Sherwood. She survives as do also the son, Percy, and one brother, Herbert, of Keene township. Funeral will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Boynton funeral home with burial in the Balcom cemetery." Ionia - Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 at the Boynton funeral chapel for Chauncey Chamberlain, 74, founder of the Chamberlain machine shop here. He was a native of Berlin township and a lifelong resident of Ionia county. The widow, Olive; a son, Percy of Ionia and a brother, Herbert of Keene township, survive."
