Max Edwin Chambers, age 85, of Bibleville, Texas and Carson City, passed away 
September 6, 2004 in Carson City.  He was born on December 15, 1918 in Fenwick, 
the son of Frank and Winnie (Wrisley) Chambers.  He married Marian Wing on 
November 27, 1943 in Fenwick.

He is survived by his living wife of over 60 years Marian Chambers of Alamo, 
Texas; son Clare Chambers of Lansing; daughters, Barbara Mitchiner of 
Westville, Indiana; Susan (Steve) Runyon of Woodlands, Texas; sister Merrie 
McNaughton of Jackson; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Helen Hitchcock, and one 
brother Russell Chambers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Hope United Brethren 
Church in Carson City with Rev. Roger Burk officiating.  Visitation will be 
held today 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, and 
Thursday at 12 p.m. until time of service at the church.  Interment Palo 
Cemetery.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to United Brethren 
Church.
