She was 76 years old, and had been failing rapidly during the past year. She was the widow of Charles Chambers, and mother of Theodore Chambers, who was drowned in Chippewa Lake in 1907. Miss Mamie Chambers, her daughter, is the only survivor of the immediate family, and was with her at the time of death. Rev. R. R. Chapman conducted the funeral services for Mrs. Corinthy Chambers at her home Sunday afternoon, the music being furnished by Mrs. J. M. Wolf and Mrs. Myrtilla Fox. The bearers were William Normington, J. H. Laden and J. L. Fowle of the G. A. R. Post and Henry Robertson, A. J. White and John Norton of the Church of Christ. Interment was in the family lot at Highland Park. Mrs Chambers was born in New York State, coming to Michigan when a young girl. She afterward returned to New York, where she was married, and the home was thereafter in Ionia township. She was a charter member of the Church of Christ here and belonged to the W. R. C.
