Ionia Daily Sentinel, 23 Nov 1948

Charles Champlain, 79, of Belding died at the Convalescent Home of the Aged on 
Mill street at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.  He was admitted at the home last Tuesday.  
Born in New York state, Mr. Champlain, a retired farmer, was a resident of 
Orleans Route 1 for 20 years, His wife died 12 years ago.

He leaves two sons, Irvin of Grand Rapids and C. Earl of Lyons; and two 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Fales-Huffman funeral 
home in Belding.  The Rev. William Kirby, pastor of the Belding Church of God, 
will officiate.  Interment will be in Green cemetery, east of Belding.
